Scholarship Information:
The Gilbert and Marcia Kotzen Scholars Program is a competitive merit award that acknowledges Simmons University's brightest and most brilliant students who want to further their studies. This is Simmons' highest honor, recognizing academic excellence in higher education, research, and independent thought.
The Kotzen Fund includes full tuition, room and board, as well as a further $3,000 for leisure activities such as study abroad, research assistance, and other possibilities. This award will be offered for four years of full-time undergraduate education and will replace any previous merit prizes.

Application Fees:
There is no application fees if you are going to apply at Simmons University.
Eligibility and Required Criteria:
✈Applicants must apply for the fall 2023 academic year and they should be new students at the University.
✈You can decide whether to submit your test results with your admission application because Simmons is a test-optional university. For individuals choosing to submit test results, a 28 on the ACT and a 1300 on the SAT are advised.
✈The Duolingo English Test, TOEFL/IELTS, TOEFL Essentials, SAT/ACT scores, or other English proficiency test must be submitted by non-native English speakers.
✈GPA of 3.3 or higher, Unweighted
✈Advanced level math Curriculum in the School
✈A history of enrolling in honors, AP, and International Baccalaureate (IB) classes, as offered by their high school systems
Required Essays:
There are two types of essays for applicants who are going to apply at this opportunity;
Number 1. A Short Essay about 250 Words and describe how additional funds—$3,000 per year—would you spend (for study abroad, short-term courses, summer internship fees, and/or research support)?
Number 2. Formal Essay (500 words or less): While some people contend that leaders are "made," not "born," others maintain the contrary position, according to which leaders are "created." Write a paper defending one side or the other of the argument.
Only candidates who adhere to the conditions specified below will be exempt from the language competence requirements:
